OAS nations sovereignty vs. LGBTI agenda

BELIZE JOURNAL PT.2 on OAS nations sovereignty. On June 15th in Mexico City the Hemispheric Congress of Parliamentarians met for the first time. This Hemispheric Congress formed in order to defend the sovereignty of its democratic nations against “hidden agendas of certain ideological elites” in the western hemisphere. Specifically the OAS, along with the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR), has violated the OAS nations sovereignty by pressuring them to accept the elite LGBTI ideology and agenda.

At the Congress, 700+ attending legislators from more that a dozen countries signed a new agreement. They called it the “American Declaration on the Independence and Self-Determination of Peoples in Matters Related to Life, Family and Religious Freedom.” The Congress’ Declaration cites the OAS Charter itself for reaffirming that “the international order is essentially constituted by respect for the sovereignty and independence of States.” The OAS Charter also “recognizes the centrality of the effective exercise of respect for representative democracy.” Therefore the OAS should never try to force any foreign ideology on its sovereign representative democracies.

Moreover, the American Convention on Human Rights enshrines the right to life “from the moment of conception.” It states thatthe family is the natural and fundamental unit of society and must be protected by society and the State.” The same Convention recognizes “the right of men and women to marry and to found a family.” And it states that “everyone has the right to freedom of conscience and religion”.

Accordingly, the Congress declares that efforts by both the OAS and IACHR to impose pro-abortion and pro-LGBTI special rights actually contradict their very purpose. Such special rights undermine the already agreed-on rights to life and freedom of expression and religion. The Congress also opposes changing the definition of marriage as between one man and one woman only. It opposes adoption of children by homosexuals as contrary to the institution of family.

Six days later this kind of opposition was condemned as “homophobic” in a new proposed OAS resolution. Many other new pro-LGBTI resolutions were promoted at the OAS General Assembly in Cancun. Thank God none of those new resolutions passed. We should thank the Congress and many other profamily proponents too. Let us pray for great waves of the Holy Spirit to cleanse the nations of the defilement of these ungodly agendas.

PRAY WITH US. Father God, we exalt You as Master Designer. We thank You for our first parents, Adam and Eve, created in Your image. You told them to be fruitful and raise children to fill the earth generation after generation. Despite the sins of those generations, You have preserved that natural impulse to marry, mate and multiply in families. But now OAS policymakers have tried to change that in one-half of the world that You made. We thank You affirming the OAS nations sovereignty and defeating those measures.

Now we come against all efforts to pervert Your good design for marriage, sex & family. We declare this perversion the deception of the devil. He came to steal our God-given sexual identities. He came to kill babies and destroy marriages and families. But You came to give life abundantly. Not only that we would multiply, but that we would find a new life that lasts forever. A new heart, a new family and a heavenly Father. Preserve the life of babies in the womb that they may have that hope. Guide orphans to families of Your design. Protect children from LGBTI curricula. Restore the true sexual identities of the deceived. Establish and empower marriages and families. Pour out Your Holy Spirit to cleanse nations of homosexual defilement. Extend Your Kingdom instead. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
