PRAYER ALERT: In the past month two Palestinian car attacks on Jerusalem light rail stations killed four and injured 20 civilians. Among the dead was a 3-month-old girl. Calls for more malicious car attacks on Jews have flooded Palestinian social media, blogs, newspapers and magazines. Near the Nazareth police station a large billboard celebrates car attacks. It equates them with support for ISIS. (Reuters has reported that hundreds of jihadists in Gaza have sworn allegiance to ISIS.) How do Palestinian officials respond?

A representative of the Palestinian Authority of Religious Affairs called on religious scholars to keep up the attacks. He urged them to “rush to Jerusalem and offer sacrifices and blood.” The head of Fatah’s Media Department in Lebanon said ‘Millions of martyrs are marching to Jerusalem.“ He added, “Jerusalem needs blood to purify itself of Jews.” He sent the attackers a blessing of “praise and esteem.”

It is plain to see that Palestinian officials will not be satisfied with the Palestinian state that they seek. If they gain it, they will only use it for their oft-repeated aim to wipe out Israel. Yet many European nations are now holding votes to recognize Palestinian statehood…
