Muslims Open New Mosque in Belize City

PRAY WITH US for Muslims open new mosque. Father God, we thank You for so loving the world that You gave Your only Son Jesus. For we have no other name that can save us from sin and death. And no one comes to the Father except through Him. But many false messiahs have pointed people the wrong way. Now in Belize, a mosque to a false messiah has arisen to public praise. And many are doing public works to exalt his name.

But You know how to expose pretenders. So we ask that You open the eyes of those who have joined their basketball league and other social works. Let them see behind the veil to false god masquerading as You. And turn them from looking for love and salvation in the wrong places. For You alone can give them the eternal and unconditional Father love that they need. And show that Jesus Christ is the only way to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

PRAYER ALERT: Muslims Open New Mosque in Belize City

On Feb. 18, the Ahmadiyya Muslims opened their silver-domed “Mosque of Light” on Cemetery Road. Channel 7 said it “is poised to become a cornerstone of the community.” And the mayor and three ministers of state praised its inception.

(Note: Ahmadiyyas admonish women to wear veils or head coverings for modesty and protection.)

The Ahmadiyya Muslims seek to please the public by proclaiming the unity of all religions. But their very name not only sets them apart from other Muslims. It declares itself superior to other religions by promoting Mirza Ghulam Ahmad—its founder—as messiah.

Ahmad claimed to be the messiah who fulfilled all religions that have a messiah. He taught that all these key religious leaders prophesied of him: Jesus, the biblical prophets, Krishna, Buddha, Confucius, and Muhammad.

Then he died at age 73 in 1908. And all these other religious leaders have died, too. But only one Messiah has risen from the dead—Jesus Christ. For the empty tomb and 500+ witnesses testify to His resurrection (1 Cor. 15:3-6). Yet knowing this, Ahmad denied that Jesus rose from the dead. Instead, he said Jesus was buried alive and then escaped.

“Then if anyone tells you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah,’ or ‘There he is,’ don’t believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will rise up” (Mt. 24:23-24, NLT). So let no one deceive you. Jesus alone died for our sins and rose again to give whoever believes in Him eternal life (Jn. 3:16)
