PRAY WITH US about journalism becomes history: Father God, we thank You for Jesus who paid the price for us to receive the Holy Spirit of truth. For He searches all things, even the deep things of God. May He lead us to search with Him all things you have called us to know and communicate in truth. For everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. So remind us that we are writing accounts for Your sake and not just our readers’.
Lead us on Your narrow path of truth to find truthful sources and report them truthfully. But also help us to hear the testimony of the Holy Spirit on each issue we address. Show us how to write as if speaking the very words of God. When we don’t know Your good will on an issue, help us to admit it and keep us humble as we do. Above all, keep us in prayer that You will work every issue to the good. For no matter what the enemy may do, You remain good all the time and help us to overcome all evil.

They have their own deadlines and often rush to fill space with first, hasty impressions of breaking news. We journalists need discernment to find the most reliable eyes and ears as witnesses of our world…
