PRAY WITH US about abortion causes more deaths: Father God, You know all and see all. For You have numbered every hair on our heads. How much more do You care for every baby in the womb? For that, You have made us to be fruitful and multiply. Instead, we have multiplied deaths in the womb. Until more die there than in any other way, just where You designed them to prepare for birth. Have mercy on us, and turn us from such wicked ways.
Now show us how each birth can carry a blessing from You. Protect each birth, and convince each mother that You have a way to care for her child. You have made each pregnant woman to become a loving mother. But even for those children whom the mother gives for adoption, You have made provision. For You have started thousands of good works around the world for counseling and caring for both mother and child. So turn hearts of fathers and mothers to the children, so we do not suffer a curse for denying them life. Instead, show how their lives can bless us with the blessing of the Father of heavenly lights. In Jesus’ name, amen.
PRAYER ALERT: Abortion Causes More Deaths Globally Than Any Other Cause
Around the world, abortion caused 42% of all the deaths in 2024, according to Worldometer. It accounted for a total of 45.1 million deaths. Then the next leading causes were cancer at 8.2 million, smoking at 5 million, HIV/AIDS at 1.7 million, traffic deaths at 1.35 million and suicide at 1.1 million.
Within the US alone, about one-third of all deaths occur by abortion. Why don’t we hear more about these staggering, tragic statistics? Because some nations censor and even punish media outlets for publishing them. For instance, the French media regulator ARCOM fined CNews US $103,000 for its abortion report. Yet CNews was only quoting the WHO, which counted 73 million abortions per year.
If true, that amounts to almost 28 million more than Worldometer reported. So does that mean that even more abortions go unreported because of censors like ARCOM?. They do in Belize–although it’s illegal, it’s undercover. Only God knows how many more of these tragedies occur…
