Now the devil wants to legalize marijuana so he can bring more drug abuse and violence. So help us sound the alarms! Because the media is avoiding the subject. And the politicians are thinking of profits instead of the perils that legalization would bring.
Therefore, expose the enemy’s plans. Alert the politicians that government involvement in the marijuana business means government promotion. And the more marijuana promotion, the more marijuana and drug use, the more addiction, and the more fighting over drugs. More violence means more death and poverty and less healthy business. So save us from such corruption. Don’t let the enemy steal, kill and destroy. Instead, show Your plans to prosper us and not to harm us. And Your plans to give us Your hope and Your future. PRAYER ALERT: Legalizing Marijuana Attracts Drug Cartel Intrusion
Because the Belize House may vote on Tues. Oct. 26 on legalizing pot, we are circulating the below statement. So we’re sounding alarms on how legalization would harm the nation’s youth, health, safety, economy & morality.
“The National Evangelical Association of Belize (NEAB) and its associate churches are deeply concerned that Government involvement in the marijuana business means Government promotion of marijuana use and development. Accordingly, we have been trying to communicate our concerns to Cabinet, but we have not been granted any consultation.
“We reiterate again our opposition to the amendment to the Misuse of Drugs Act, an amendment which would make marijuana legal to produce, sell, buy and use under government auspices.
“The NEAB and churches in Belize are raising a red flag! If you give cartels an inch, they will take a mile. In the last year in Mexico, 91 politicians have been killed in the drug war with cartels, not to mention the many murdered Judges who have opposed the cartels.
“Belize should not open its doors to legalized marijuana. Because if you sow bad seed, you reap bad fruit. The ramifications of opening this door are horrendous for youth, business, tourism and negative impact on Belize international banking relationships. So we appeal to our Government in the strongest way, do not open this door! Because there are other ways for Belize to prosper with good fruit!”
