Thousands Have Disappeared in Peru, Colombia & Paraguay

PRAY WITH US about thousands have disappeared, that God will:

Send Your Holy Spirit as the Comforter for those who have lost loved ones in these wars. Or who have not yet found those who have disappeared. And show those still mourning the great value You have placed on their lives.
Release the Holy Spirit as He who searches all things, even the deep things of God. And if the missing can be found, find them and restore them to their surviving loved ones. But if they have passed away, help bring closure to the survivors.
Convict those responsible for their parts in these crimes. And let the truth come out because it will come out on Judgment Day. Warn those responsible about the final judgment, that they may repent and turn to Christ before it’s too late. And let there be miracles of reconciliation that only You can bring about.
Now for Haiti, we hear that gang violence has caused the number of displaced people to triple. Now it has reached more than a million. So help their loved ones seek and find them before they go missing too. And bring an end to this awful crisis before more suffering starts.

PRAYER ALERT: Thousands Have Disappeared in Peru, Colombia & Paraguay

Back in the 90’s we often heard of people whom their friends & relatives lost track of. Especially in Chile and Argentina when military dictators ruled. At that time the media called them the “disappeared.”

Now Peru, Paraguay and Columbia are reporting multitudes of people missing. Peru has 20,000 disappeared, and investigators have found only 3,200 remains. And Paraguay has 500. But they have found only 15 bodies so far.

After 5 years of civil war, Colombia has by far the highest number: 124,000+, plus 450,000 killed. It continued even after 2022 when the newly-elected president, Gustavo Petro, promised to end it. Though a former rebel, Petro set out to disarm rebels and drug gangs… Then he tried a Truth Commission…
