Provide ways to feed the 269% extra malnourished people in Latin America. And alert donors and show them how to reach these people.
Show Venezuelans who have lost jobs in nearby countries His good will for their future. Specifically, help them find Christ and His narrow way to abundant life in the midst of want.
Protect returnees to Venezuela from exploitation, injustice, violence and health hazards. Bring about a change in government toward more justice and rights for all. Also, release more food and necessary supplies in every way. And show that Jesus is their ultimate Savior and Provider.

PRAYER ALERT: Socialist Venezuela Punishes Returnees during Covid Crisis

Two years ago the UN warned that the Venezuelan refugee crisis was becoming as demanding to South America as the 2015 refugee crisis was to Europe. Now the Covid-19 crisis is forcing those refugees from Venezuela back home.

In fact, the UN World Food Program projects a 269% increase of malnourished Latin Americans as a result of Covid-19. But returning Venezuelans face a rude homecoming. Moreover, President Nicolas Maduro has threatened cruel physical punishments for returnees.

Many seeking to return have to live for months in unsanitary border quarantine camps. This exposes them to infection. As a result, hundreds are paying smugglers to help them cross the border illegally. In turn, smugglers are paying government officials to look the other way.

But many who do return illegally are put in unsanitary quarantine in Venezuela. And there, even hospitals cannot guarantee safe havens. Specifically, the lack of water, food, and even basic medicines has caused many to flee from hospitals.

About 40-50 protests occur every day over shortages of necessities. Clashes with military and police have resulted in 2,267 civilian deaths in January-June alone. Such is socialism in the time of Coronavirus. Therefore, one wonders, why are politicians around the world calling for more socialism?
