PRAY WITH US for rallying prayer warriors: Father God, from You and through You and to You are all good things. We thank You for Your promise that Your kingdom will come and Your will be done through our prayers. Stir up Your intercessors for this appointed time on Pentecost Sunday. At this time all Your people around the world can humble themselves and pray. Lead us to seek Your face and turn from our wicked ways. Only then will You forgive our sin and heal our lands.
Now we desperately need You more than ever. Send a revival that will keep spreading around the globe. Prepare us to reap harvest after harvest of converts and to make disciples of all nations. Don’t let this revival end until the fullness of the Gentiles come in. Show Your church how to become more united in Your love, holiness and power until the end of this age. Do this so that Your glory may fill the earth, so that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. In Jesus’ name, which is above all names, amen.
PRAYER ALERT: Rallying Prayer Warriors for Global Day of Prayer
Tomorrow, Pentecost Sunday, Belizeans will join Christians around the world in the Global Day of Prayer. For almost two decades, gatherings large and small have lifted up prayers on this day for the nations.
If you don’t have a GDOP near you, you can tune into Pentecost Global Broadcast on Sunday at 9 pm EST. This one-hour broadcast features “14 leading global voices and 50 next generation leaders.” Or you can meet in your church or home to read aloud the comprehensive GDOP “Prayer for the World”. And add your prayers and worship too.
In the Belize District we will meet by Zoom to avoid the present Covid-19 limits on time and capacity. That way we can accommodate a larger crowd and cover more world issues urgently needing prayer. Starting at 6:30 pm we will pray first for a great harvest in the midst of troubled times.
Then we will base the rest of our prayers for Belize and the world on the 7-part GDOP Prayer for the World. They include: seeking God for family reconciliations, economic recovery, worldwide repentance & revival, discipleship that will make revivals last, victory over weather and world crises, and filling the earth with His knowledge and glory.
