PRAY WITH US about at-risk kids get training: Father God, thank You for sending us the Prince of Peace. For You make wars cease to the ends of the earth. You say, “Be still, and know that I am God.” So still the demons and desires that drive kids into vicious cycles of violence. Take them deep into prayer. Lift them out of depression and anxiety. And free them from bondages to drugs, gangs and crime.
Thank You for small beginnings that have decreased violence in Belize. Give these kids a firm foundation of faith that works. Begin new works in them that You will carry into completion. And make these works manifest in jobs that improve all seven spheres of social influence. For You are able to change violent Sauls into overcoming and victorious Pauls. So do that wherever violence now reigns, in Jesus’ name.
PRAYER ALERT: At-Risk Kids Get Training to End Vicious Violent Cycles
Schools take kids off the streets. But they seldom train kids how to cope when they go back to those same dangerous streets. There they face peer pressure to join gangs in their vicious cycles of violence.
Tubal Trade & Vocational Institute has a “Freedom Healing Course.” It teaches inner skills of prayer and changing mindsets of depression and anxiety. And outer skills of talking through problems, learning forgiveness and developing good habits & manners.
Tubal also teaches vocational skills for finding employment that breaks dependence on gangs & crime. Efforts like this have helped to decrease murder by 60-70% in the past few months.
