Revivals & 5-Fold Ministry: MorningStar & IHOP-Kansas City -

PRAY WITH US for 5-fold ministry: Father God, we thank You for giving Jesus all authority in heaven and on earth. With that authority He gave us the Great Commission. But He also said He would be with us to accomplish it, to the ends of the earth and to the end of the age. We confess that too often we try to do it without Him.

So keep reminding us to turn to You in prayer. And to find agreement with others in prayer to you. For prayer releases Your power. And group prayer releases global power. That is what we need to move together with You, when You move in revival. So prepare us for that move, and move us from glory to glory when You do. Let Jesus be glorified in all Your 5-fold ministries. And fill more and more of the earth with more of Your glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.

This is the third video in our new ETG course “End-Time Harvests: Finishing the 5-Fold Work God Gave Us.” After two years of waiting on God, at last I got many prophetic words on where to go next: Belize. My experience there illustrates how—through unexpected twists and turns—I learned how the revivals and the 5-fold ministry work. And how you can find your place in the process.

When I started out a missionary in Belize, I found evangelism easy. But discipleship was difficult. That’s when I started praying, at least monthly, in group prayer with other missionaries & pastors, who also needed breakthroughs in discipleship.

I believed a mission high school could provide four years of discipleship, six hours a day, five days a week. When i finally started that school, I got too busy for group prayer. After two months, I got so frustrated in my busyness, that I had to turn back to prayer.

The day I committed to group prayer again, with a student’s parents, revival started—with miracles, instant healings, and overflowing meetings. As soon as the group prayer stopped, the revival stopped, and so did the school.

It could have dawned on me then that one of my main callings was group and corporate prayer. And prayer especially for revival. Instead, I spent a total of six glorious months at revivals at MorningStar and IHOP-KC before I recognized this calling.

So I returned to Belize with a greater vision for a Belize City House of Prayer, addressing the 7 mountains of influence. This became linked to a new country-wide Belize Prayer Network of intercessors and prophetic people.

Then God answered our prayers with an evangelical association that grew from its previous smaller city group to a larger national network of leaders from every district. It has the potential of becoming the kind of 5-fold ministry that can equip the saints to move together when God moves…
