PRAY WITH US about youth battling anxiety, depression: Father God, we have restless thoughts until we find rest in You. We have depressed souls until You lift us up. And we have anxious hearts until we find Your peace which passes understanding. So pour out Your Holy Spirit for a great awakening from the woke culture which calls evil good. And which suppresses the truth that sets us free.
In this great awakening, save a billion+ of souls from this corrupt generation. Turn hearts of the older generation to the younger, and of the younger to the older. Do not strike our lands with the curses we deserve. Instead, heal our lands and let this revival bring reformation. In that reformation, let Your kingdom come and Your will be done. In Jesus’ name, amen.
PRAYER ALERT: Youth battling anxiety, depression & suicide ideation
We now face a far greater demand for counselling than before. Especially from youth who are struggling with anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts. I didn’t anticipate that when I organized a Christian counselling referral service called CARE Belize in November. CARE stands for Counsellors Associated for Relationship Empowerment. When it began, LGBT advocates accused evangelical publicly of not caring about LGBTs. Or about any of the 14 other disadvantaged groups identified by their failed “Equal Opportunities Bill.”
Instead, I found that experienced Christian counsellors in Belize are working with all these disadvantaged groups and LGBTs too. Of course, they are seeking to restore their God-given male or female identities to them rather than affirm any number of false LGBT+ identities. Only the truth will set us free.
We have a public list of 17 pastors on our carebelize.com/help web page. These pastors have agreed to take calls about any of the 15 issues, and get back to the caller within 48 hours. They may decide to handle the counselling issue themselves, with the grace God gives them. Or they use their discretion to refer any issue to our confidential list of experienced counsellors.
Recently a Department of Youth Services (DYS) survey found that more young people than ever want counselling for emotional and mental issues. Now DYS is offering free counselling at their Belize City office.
But we know that God, not the government, has the best solutions for these youths. We don’t want to lose this harvest to politically correct bureaucrats. For we are expecting revival, which always reaches youth more than any age group. Now that the suicide rate among youth is higher than ever, we can offer them a whole new life in Christ…
