PRAY WITH US for building Gods house: Father God, You are the Master of our houses, our cities and our nations. But too often You must knock at our doors before we let you in. Instead, the enemy has come in like a thief to steal, kill and destroy. So help us to evict Him. Don’t let him smoke us out of Your house with marijuana and drugs. And don’t let him turn our children against Your good design for their bodies and their children.
Instead, show us how to raise kids straight as arrows. Teach us, and help us teach them, how to watch over our houses, nations and cities. And make us lights to show Your good ways and expose the enemy’s evil ways. He has gained much ground, but that ground belongs to You. Help us take it back, stand Your ground, and take more for You. To You be the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. In Jesus’ name, amen.
PRAYER ALERT: Building God’s House & Watching for His Enemies
Unless the Lord builds the house, we labor in vain. With Him, we can build a good houses and good churches. But unless we also watch over our cities with Him, we can lose our houses to the enemy.
If the LGBT agenda gets a foothold in your curriculum, young people will consider LGBT an option. Christian pollster George Barna now tells us that 30 percent of millenials identify as LGBT. If marijuana gets legalized and your church members tolerate its use, your young people will use it. Then they will also consider harder drugs as an option.
In Belize, God is definitely watching over us. In 2020, politicians were pushing a pro-LGBT bill. It would have taken away our right to defend our churches and our youth against the gay agenda. The churches put up a resistance, and God used that to stop it.
In 2021, politicians were promoting marijuana for economic success. But the more we succeed with weed, the more we attract drug cartels. Drug cartels have a way of taking over houses, cities and nations. So the churches put up a resistance, and God used that to stop marijuana legalization.
Yet we’ve got to keep the watch of the Lord over our cities and nations. Because those enemies want to come back while we’re not watching. God is watching over us, but He needs us to watch with Him.
