Two Haiti Missionaries Released, No Ransom Paid

PRAY WITH US about Two Haiti Missionaries Released, that God will: 1. Bring conviction on the kidnappers, and if they don't make amends, bring them to justice. Cause the release of the other 15 missionaries, without ransom. Also, cause the release of those who remain bound after the hundreds of other kidnappings. 2. Comfort and provide for the families of those kidnapped. And help the government to stop more kidnappings from happening. 3. Help all those missionaries who need to travel to do so until the crisis ends. Then bring them back rested and empowered. And give them increasing grace bring the gospel of the kingdom where it's needed most. PRAYER ALERT: Two Haiti Missionaries Released, No Ransom Paid Thank God, the 400 Mawozo gang that kidnapped 17 missionaries on Oct. 16 has released two of them. Both had become sick, and were said to “in good spirits, and…cared for.” That comes as a relief. Because the gang had asked for $1 million per person. The gang is blamed for 80% of the 221 abductions in June-September. Earlier this year they allegedly kidnapped five priests and two nuns. The US State Department has urged Americans to “depart Haiti now.” A federation of nine Haitian gangs only recently lifted blockades of fuel terminals crippling the nation. But fuel shortages remain. Now is the time to travel before the situation get worse again. The release of the two missionaries came within three days after Christian Aid Ministries called for another “special day of prayer and fasting” for them on Nov. 18. Let’s agree with them in prayer for “for those being held, the families of the hostages, government officials who are assisting, and the kidnappers themselves.” Pray too, that we will overcome the increase of lawlessness. "Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Mt. 24:12-14).
