PRAY WITH US about child rescuer vs. Indiana Jones: Father God, we exalt You as a good, good Father. But we grieve over fatherlessness and broken homes which leave gaps for predators to come in. And now even caring parents are losing children to the deceitful schemes of traffickers. Many carry kids across the border and make them slaves to depravity.
So use “Sound of Freedom” to raise awareness of this plague. Spotlight the 2 million kids caught in the nets of sex trafficking. Arise and cause their enemies to scatter. Raise up more rescuers to bring them into caring homes. And turn the heart of fathers to the children and against predators. Most of all, release a worldwide move of the Holy Spirit to counter worldwide trends to corrupt innocent children. For Jesus says the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. In Jesus’ name, amen.
PRAYER ALERT: Child Rescuer vs. Indiana Jones—Anti-Human Trafficking Wins
“The Passion of the Christ” star Jim Caviezel plays a child rescuer in “Sound of Freedom.” At its premiere on July 4th it beat the fifth “Indiana Jones” film to reach #1 in box offices. Mexican actor Eduardo Verastegui produced the film and has devoted his life to saving kids. So has the man on whom he based the film, Tim Ballard, founder of Operation Underground Railroad.
The film follows Ballard’s journey into Latin American sex trafficking rings that ensnare children. He seeks to reunite a family which has lost both children to such predatory networks. Specifically, Mexico “ranks first in child sexual abuse; first in exploitation, homicides, and trafficking of minors; and first in creation and distribution of child pornography,” according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development And the US has become consumer number #1 of sex worldwide, including child porn.
We need films like this showing people delivering kids from evil instead of delivering kids into evil…
